Standard Single Reduction
Carriers Without Differential
Lock
The single reduction carrier models are front
mounted into the axle housing. These carriers have a
hypoid drive pinion and ring gear set and bevel gears
in the differential assembly.
A straight roller bearing (spigot) is mounted on the
head of the drive pinion. All other bearings in the
carrier are tapered roller bearings.
When the carrier operates, there is normal differential
action between the wheels all the time.
