  If your DR. Heater Heater isn't heating, there are a few potential reasons. First, the overheat protection might have temporarily deactivated the heater; in this case, turn the heater and the circuit breaker OFF, and wait 10 minutes before turning the heater back on. Another reason could be that the room temperature has reached the thermostat setting; try adjusting the thermostat control knob to a higher setting to increase the room temperature. Finally, the breaker or fuse might have been tripped. Check your electrical box to ensure the breaker hasn't been blown, especially if the receptacle is shared with other high-consumption appliances.

  A burning smell from your DR. Heater Heater can be due to a few reasons. Initially, ensure there are no combustible materials within 0.9 meters (3 feet) of the heater and remove any if found. It's also possible that a drop of oil fell on the heating coil during manufacturing; this should evaporate quickly, ensure the room is well-ventilated. Finally, make sure there's a minimum clearance of 1ft (12 inches) from both sides and 4.5 inches from the back. Reposition the heater if needed to provide adequate space.
