  If your DR. Heater heater isn't heating, it could be due to overheat protection. To resolve this, turn the heater OFF, switch off the circuit breaker, and wait 10 minutes before turning it back on. Another possible cause is a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Check your electrical box to ensure the breaker hasn't tripped, especially if the outlet is shared with other high-consumption appliances.

  If your DR. Heater heater is producing a burning smell, first ensure there are no combustible materials within 0.9 meters (3 feet) surrounding the heater. Remove any such items. Also, ensure a minimum clearance of 1 foot (0.3 m) from both sides and the rear of the heater to any adjacent surface or wall. Reposition the heater if needed. If this does not help, ensure the room is well ventilated, as the smell could be due to a drop of oil on the heating coil during manufacturing, which should evaporate quickly.
