In spaces with forced ventilation, it may be sufficient
under some conditions to test for gases at the exhaust
air vent. (See image above.)
These instructions apply to all versions of the Dräger
PointGard 3000. The maximum cable length between the
Dräger PointGard 3000 device and the remote sensor is
30 metres.
The remote sensor enables you to use the Dräger
PointGard 3000 to monitor concentrations of hazardous
gases in the correct location inside any space. It also
lets you test for hazardous gas concentrations before
entering confined spaces. In that case, the remote
sensor is installed inside the confined space and the
PointGard 3000 is mounted outside the space.
