⚠ WARNING: If you smell gas, shut off gas to the appliance,
extinguish any open flame. If odor continues, leave the area
immediately. After leaving the area, call your gas supplier or fire
department. Gas leaks to be corrected by a qualified technician.
(Note: In bright daylight, it may simply be difficult to see the Pilot Light. Make sure there is no heat coming
off the pilot to be certain it has not lit.)
- Confirm main gas control valve is open.
- Confirm that any installed secondary control valves are open.
- Confirm gas pressure is within required ranges (See Page 4).
- (LP System Only) Check Liquid Propane tank is not empty.
- (LP System Only) Check regulator for damage or improper installation.
- (LP System Only) Fire pit valve must be OFF when tank is turned ON.
Turn tank valve ON slowly to allow pressure to equalize.
Depending on the length of gas line and time since last use, it may take a few
minutes of gas flow for the system to purge all air and allow ignition.
Insufficient Gas Flow
To Pilot
There is a pilot adjustment valve behind the control knob. Using a small flat-head
screwdriver, turn the pilot valve counterclockwise to increase gas flow to the pilot.
This should be kept at the minimum level required for operation of the appliance.
If you are still cannot light the pilot or burner, the system may be incorrectly
assembled or faulty. Please consult a qualified technician.
Main Burner Will
Not Light
(Note: After lighting the pilot, try to light the main burner with a barbecue lighter. If it lights then the issue is
likely with the pilot. If not, then the issue is likely with the burner.)
Rearrange firepit media to ensure there is clear flow between the pilot and the
nearest burner ports.
See (Insufficient Gas Flow To Pilot) above.
See (Insufficient Gas Flow) above.
See (Faulty Assembly) above.
One or More Flame
Jets Will Not Light
Clean the burner orifices and check jets for obstructions. Rearrange firepit media to
ensure there is clear gas flow from the jets.
