Braking system (continued)
For brakes that are too tight:
Locate the metal tension nut and tension knob connecting the brake lever to the brake cable.
Turn the tension nut inward (counterclockwise) continuously with your hand until it touches the
tension knob.
Turn the tension knob outward (clockwise) until you have achieved the desired brake lever looseness.
Depress the brake lever to confirm looseness.
Turn ONLY the tension screw (not the tension knob) outward (clockwise) until it sits tightly against the
brake lever again.
For any major adjustments needed on the rear drum brake, it is recommended that you locate
a nearby license bike repair shop to assist you in properly adjusting it.
Note that Droyd is not responsible for – and the manufacturers warranty does not cover – services
from any third party service providers, nor any defects, failures, or performance issues that may
result from said services.
Squeaky brakes:
The brakes may squeak before they are broken in. This is normal and will not affect the function or
performance of the brakes. With continued use, the squeak should go away. If it does not, please
contact customer support for further instructions.
