5.2.2. Use of a spacer
A spacer is necessary in the following case:
Engine propeller-shaft type Rotax (6 indexing dowels Ø13 on P.C.D. Ø101.6mm/Ø4")
Engine propeller-shaft positioned inside the engine hood or positioned at less than 14mm
Determination of the spacer length:
Measure the distance X between the propeller-shaft and the engine hood limit, then add 14mm.

→ The length of the hardware necessary to fix the propeller is defined by the DUC Hélices design office. This is also
the case when it is necessary to set up an intermediate spacer.
Tightening screws: see step 7 of § 5.3. Propeller adjustment & Finalizing the assembly.
→ The spacers are delivered with the dowels.
