(1) Replace every two years, in any case
(2) Check for proper tightening of the following safety parts:
- Front sprocket retaining screw
- Steering head retaining screw, center position
- Steering head retaining screws
- Bottom yoke screw
- Fork bottom end bolt
- Steering bearings ring nut
- Front brake caliper retaining screw
- Rear brake caliper retaining screw
- Rear wheel shaft nut
- Swingarm shaft screw
- Aluminium swingarm shaft retaining screw
- Rear brake caliper plate retaining pin
- Handlebar clamp screw
- Rear shock absorber upper screw
- Rear shock absorber lower screw
- Suspension linkage upper screw
- Suspension rocker arm to frame fixing screw
- Front wheel nut
- Brake disc mounting screw
- Rear chain sprocket nut
- Engine to frame mounting bolt nut
If any components are not at the correct torque, please see the Torque Settings tables (Sect.C 3).
(3) Test the following parts:
- Wheel hub bearings
- Rear wheel flexible coupling
- Sprocket retaining plate
- Side stand
- Indicators and lighting devices
