MODE OF OPERATION – IN-LINE TOP SHEET
NOTE: You can temporarily stop the wrapping sequence at any time. This can be done by pressing the
Start/Stop button and following steps on HMI (or press E-Stop button in case of emergency - to re-start the
wrap cycle after an emergency stop, simply release the E-Stop button and follow steps on HMI). It is to be
noted that by resetting the machine, a new cycle is initiated.
NOTE: To activate Manual mode, go to the manual page on the HMI. By doing so, all automatic or
initiation sequences are immediately interrupted.
1. Top sheet conveyor waits for a load.
2. Top sheet moves down to measure the load, then moves up to position itself for the plastic application.
3. The conveyor starts to receive the load.
4. When the load blocks the entrance photoeye, and the time before feed delay (set in HMI) is expired, the rollers
will start feeding the plastic.
5. The plastic is applied over the load. (If the top of the load is uneven, the conveyor will stop and the top sheet
structure will move up until it clears the top sheet autoheight photoeye).
6. When the load clears the entrance photoeye, and the time after feed delay (set in HMI) is expired, the conveyor
will stop.
7. The top sheet rollers will stop feeding plastic.
8. The cut sequence is carried out:
a. The push bar squeezes the plastic.
b. The rollers pull plastic back to tighten it.
c. The knife moves to the opposite position cutting plastic at the same time.
d. The push bar returns to home position.
e. The rollers feed the plastic for the time after cut (set in HMI).
9. The top sheet returns to its home position (if switch is set to return to upper level set in HMI). If not, top sheet
structure will stay in place.
10. The top sheet conveyor receives the load.
11. For the rest of the cycle operation, refer to Mode of Operation – Standard above).
