TROUBLESHOOTING ALARMS
Alarm Problem Solution
Rotation not at home
position
The system is in start mode and the
rotation is out of home position or when
the home position sensor is defective
Press the start/stop push button to initialize
the system. Verify air brake operation,
home position prox. sensor operation.
Adjust prox. sensor to optimal sensing
range
Rotation
Forward/Reverse
motion problem
The rotation is commended to move
forward or reverse and does not reach or
stay at the tooth counter or home position
within 60 seconds
First, try the machine in manual mode.
Then, verify for proper VFD functioning and
also verify for proper “Home” and “Count”
proximity sensor operation
Push arm motion
problem
The cut and wipe arm is to extend or
retract and does not reach the extended or
retracted position within 5 seconds
Make sure proper air pressure is applied to
pneumatic system. Verify moving speed,
then for proper retracted position prox.
sensor operation and adjust to optimal
sensing range (1/16in)
Push arm out during
rotation
The cut and wipe arm is taken out of its
retracted position during the rotation
motion
Make sure all bolts are tightened properly
on wipe arm. Proper air pressure is applied
to pneumatic system and verify for proper
retracted position prox. sensor operation.
Adjust prox. sensor to optimal sensing
range
Oversized load on
process conveyor
The load was not centered properly or the
load is oversized
Remove obstructing debris/load, then make
sure the load is centered properly and verify
for proper photoeye functioning
Conveyor takes too
long to send
The conveyor takes more than 20 seconds
to send a load to the following conveyor
Verify if the load is centered. Make sure
there is no debris in front of the photoeye.
Verify for proper photoeye function
Infeed wrap zone limit
hidden during rotation
An object/load has blocked the infeed
wrap zone limit photoeye during a wrap
cycle
Remove obstructing debris/load, verify for
proper photoeye function
Outfeed wrap zone
limit hidden during
rotation
An object/load has blocked the outfeed
wrap zone limit photoeye during a wrap
cycle
Remove obstructing debris/load, verify for
proper photoeye function
