Why is the oil consumption too high in my DV Systems G30?
    • D
      Dr. Alicia ValentineSep 10, 2025
High oil consumption in your DV Systems Air Compressor can be attributed to several factors. These include an oil level that is too high, a blocked Oil Return Line (Scavenge Line), an Oil Separator saturated with oil, or using the wrong type of oil. Additionally, the unit operating at too high a temperature, an oil leak, or light unit load or excessive load/idle cycles can contribute to this issue. To address this, reduce the oil level to the proper level, clean and/or replace the Scavenge In-Line Filter, replace the Oil Separator, change to factory recommended oil, repair any oil leaks, and ensure the unit is set to operate at correct pressures with a minimum of 10 psi differential. Also consider if the unit is oversized for the tank capacity.

What causes high power consumption in a DV Systems G30?
    • C
      Christopher NortonSep 12, 2025
High power consumption in your DV Systems Air Compressor may be due to improper air pressure settings. Another potential cause is a malfunctioning Blowdown Solenoid. Low voltage or a phase imbalance in the building's electrical supply could also be responsible. Lastly, a failing Motor might be the reason for the increased power usage. To troubleshoot, reset the pressure to factory defaults, inspect or replace the Blowdown Solenoid as necessary, contact an electrician to verify the voltage, and have the Motor inspected.

What causes surging in my DV Systems G30?
    • T
      tannermejiaSep 13, 2025
Surging in your DV Systems Air Compressor can be caused by a restriction in the Heat Exchanger or Hoses. An incorrect or malfunctioning Pressure Transducer setting can also lead to surging. Other potential causes include a blockage at the unit outlet, a Dryer freezing up and restricting airflow, or an Air Receiver that is too small. To address this, flush out or replace the Heat Exchanger or Hoses, set the pressure as per instructions or replace the Pressure Transducer, check for obstructions in the outlet piping, verify that the Dryer parameters are correct (increase dew point to 2.0 if required), and use a minimum 120 Gallon Tank.

What triggers fault alarms in my DV Systems G30?
    • E
      Edward CastanedaSep 15, 2025
Fault alarms in your DV Systems Air Compressor can be triggered by several factors. These include an Emergency Stop, High Temperature, Low Temperature, or High pressure. To address these, ensure the Emergency Stop Button is not pressed in. If it is a High Temperature fault, see ‘Section C’. If it is a Low Temperature fault, it may be due to low ambient temperature; increase the ambient temperature to 10°C. For High pressure faults, check the pressure settings, the Pressure Transducer, and the wiring to the Transducer.

How to troubleshoot no air flow in my DV Systems Air Compressor?
    • C
      Catherine HenrySep 17, 2025
If you're experiencing no or insufficient airflow in your DV Systems Air Compressor, start by checking the following: the air filter may be dirty and needs replacement, the oil separator may be blocked and needs replacement, or the intake valve may be faulty and needs repair or replacement. Air leaks in the system, incorrectly set pressure limits, an open blowdown solenoid valve, or broken/slipping belts can also be causes. Check the unit and system for air leaks, adjust the pressure settings, check the wiring to the solenoid valve (replace if necessary), and check the belt tension and condition.

What to do if my DV Systems G30 starts slowly?
    • T
      Teresa GrantSep 18, 2025
If your DV Systems Air Compressor starts slowly, the intake valve may not be functioning properly, so check its operation and repair or replace as required. Low ambient temperature can also cause slow starts; stop and restart once the ambient temperature increases. Other potential causes include the minimum pressure valve leaking back to the air end (repair or replace), the minimum pressure valve setting being too high (adjust to 65 psi), or using the wrong type of oil (change to factory-recommended oil).
