Why is my DVP Water Pump running hot?

  If your DVP Water Pump runs hot, it could be due to several reasons. The oil might not be the correct type, in which case you should change it. Poor room ventilation can also cause overheating, so consider installing an auxiliary ventilator. Other potential causes include a broken motor fan, a wrong power supply to the motor (check the power supply), or a clogged discharge (check couplings at the outlet).

  If your DVP Water Pump is consuming oil at a high rate, frequently check the oil level due to possibly high working pressure close to atmospheric pressure. Refer to section “D” regarding the pump running hot, as this can also contribute to high oil consumption. Additionally, a clogged air exhaust filter can be a factor, so replace the air exhaust filter.

  If your DVP Water Pump is unable to reach the stated vacuum, ensure that the oil level in the tank is sufficient by topping up the oil. If the oil is contaminated, change it. Also, check the couplings at the outlet for any clogs in the discharge.
