What to do if Dyna-Glo Gas Heater pilot light goes out when I release the knob?
    • J
      Jeffrey SteinAug 21, 2025
If the ODS/pilot light of your Dyna-Glo Gas Heater lights, but the flame goes out when you release the control knob, consider these possibilities: * The control knob isn't fully pressed in. Ensure you press it fully. * The control knob isn't pressed in long enough. After the ODS/pilot lights, keep the control knob pressed in for 30-60 seconds. * The equipment shutoff valve isn't fully open. Make sure it is fully open. * The thermocouple connection is loose. Hand tighten it until it's snug, then tighten an additional ¼ turn. * The thermocouple is damaged. Replace the thermocouple. * The control valve is damaged. Contact customer service. * There is a wrong gas setting. Correct the gas selection.
