Why does my Dyna-Glo BFSS10LPT-4P Heater whistle when the burner is lit?
    • A
      Adam GarciaSep 12, 2025
Your Dyna-Glo heater might produce a whistling noise when the burner is lit if you turn the control knob to the high position when the burner is cold; turn the control knob to the low position and let it warm up for a minute. It could also be due to air in the gas line, so operate the burner until the air is removed from the line and have the gas line checked by your local propane/LP gas company. Blocked air passageways on the heater can also cause this, so observe the minimum installation clearances. A dirty or partially clogged burner orifice can also be the culprit, so clean the burner.

    • B
      Brandon UnderwoodSep 15, 2025
If you smell gas even when the control knob of your Dyna-Glo heater is in the OFF position, it could be due to a gas leak, so locate and correct all leaks.
