What to do if my Dyna-Glo DGP483SSN Grill burner will not light with a match?

  If the burner on your Dyna-Glo Grill won't light with a match, consider these possibilities: 1. The match may not be reaching the burners. Use the match holder found in the cabinet door. 2. The gas supply may be shut off. Check that the natural gas supply shut-off valve is open. 3. There might be a poor connection between the gas hose plug fitting and sleeve coupling. Turn off the grill knobs, close the gas supply shut-off valve, and check the connection. Disconnect and reconnect if needed. 4. The burner inlet could be blocked. Clean the burner inlet (venturi) and burner as described in the Care and Maintenance section.

  If your Dyna-Glo Grill has no gas flow or an obstructed gas flow, here are a few things to check: * The gas supply may be shut off. Ensure the natural gas supply shut-off valve is open. * There could be a poor connection between the gas hose plug fitting and sleeve coupling. Turn off the grill knobs, close the gas supply shut-off valve, and check the connection. Disconnect and reconnect if necessary. * The burner inlet might be blocked. Clean the burner inlet (venturi) and burner as described in the Care and Maintenance section.

  If the burner on your Dyna-Glo Grill doesn't light using the ignitor, it could be due to: * The igniter electrode being covered with grease or residue. Clean the ignitor electrode. * A loose or disconnected wire on the igniter electrode. Check the connection and reconnect any loose or disconnected wires. * A cracked or broken ignition electrode. Replace the ignition electrode (see Replacement Parts List).

  Excessive flare-ups in your Dyna-Glo Grill can occur due to: * Grease and/or residue build-up on heat tents or in the firebox. Solution: Clean the grill components. * Excessive dripping of fat or marinade from food. Solution: Trim the fat from meat and use non-oil based marinades. * Cooking temperature being too high. Solution: Lower the temperature accordingly.
