EMT6 thermistor overload relays for machine protection are manufactured in
accordance with the requirements set forth in EN 60947, “Low-voltage
switchgear and controlgear”, and EN 60947-8 in particular.
ATEX certification
The thermistor overload relays for machine protection are not suitable for
installation or operation in hazardous locations.
Models EMT6-K, EMT6-KDB, and EMT6-DBK of the thermistor overload relay
for machine protection are certified for Group II, Category (2) GD applications
(= locations in which there are potentially explosive gas, vapor, mist, or air
mixtures and combustible dusts).
For Ex (hazardous location) applications, verification of the effectiveness of
installed safety equipment is required prior to commissioning.
The EMT6, EMT6-DB and EMT6-DBK relays are approved by the UL and CSA
for the USA and Canada.
The devices have also been granted approvals for the following countries:

additional requirements for purge and pressurization systems.
