Circuit breaker positioning
Magnum PXR and PD-SB drawout circuit breakers have four
normal positions:
•
REMOVE (withdrawn) (Figure 8)
•
DISCONNECT (Figure 9)
•
TEST (Figure 10)
•
CONNECT (Figure 11)
The REMOVE position is a position outside the compartment
on the cassette’s drawout rails where the circuit breaker is not
engaged with the levering mechanism. The DISCONNECT,
TEST, and CONNECT positions are reached by means of the
levering mechanism.
With the breaker solidly positioned on the cassette’s extension rails
and the levering-in mechanism in the DISCONNECT position, carefully
and firmly push the circuit breaker into the compartment as far as it
will go. The outer (recessed) portion of the circuit breaker faceplate
should align with the GREEN target line (labeled DISC) on the inside
top left wall of the cassette (Figure 12).
