◆ After choke control knob is pulled and then knob is
returned to original position, throttle remains slightly open
(fast idle latch condition).
◆ The chain will attempt to move when engine is started with
fast idle throttle latch engaged.
◆ Do not start engine unless chain brake is locked.
◆ When using throttle latch for starting, keep the brake in
lock position.
◆ After starting the engine, immediately squeeze and release
throttle trigger for disengaging throttle latch and returning
engine to idle, and pull front hand guard towards the
operator immediately. (Chain brake unlocked position).
◆ Never use fast idle throttle latch for cutting.
◆ Use the fast idle throttle latch only in starting.
◆ Do not increase engine speed when chain brake is locked.
Severe brake damage can occur.
7. Securely hold the chain saw as shown.
8. When starting the chain saw
place the unit on flat ground
and hold the front handle with
left hand and hold firmly the
rear end of rear handle with
right knee. Pull starter handle
with right hand several times
until first firing sound.
9. Push Choke Control Knob (C)
all the way in to (OPEN
choke position).
10. Pull starter handle to start the
engine.
Note: Do not pull starter rope out
to maximum position. Do
not allow recoil handle to
snap back against the
casing. If engine does not
start after 5 pulls, repeat
instructions.
