4. Securely hold the chain saw as
shown and pull starter handle.
5. Choke Control Knob (C) may
be used if necessary, but after
first starting sound, squeeze
Throttle Trigger (E) to release
choke and return engine to idle.
Note: If engine does not start
after 5 pulls, use cold
start procedure. Do not
increase engine speed while chain brake is locked. Severe
brake damage will result.
Note: After starting the engine, pull front hand guard towards the
operator immediately. (Chain brake unlocked position).
Running
The saw chain should not move at idle, otherwise serious
personal injury may result.
Note: If saw chain moves adjust carburetor according to
“Carburetor Adjustment” instructions in this manual, or see
your dealer.
1. After engine starts, allow it to
return to idle and warm up
before using.
2. Move chain brake lever fully
REARWARD to UNLOCK chain
brake.
