7. TO SOLVE A PROBLEM
Problem Possible cause What to do?
1. Device does not respond
to the RCU.
■ You did not select the
correct code for the
device.
■ Try all the codes listed for
your brand.
■ Try the search method.
■ You did not select the
correct mode.
■ Press the mode key that
operates the chosen
device.
2. One of the mode keys
blinks twice when a key is
pressed but the device
does not respond.
■ Batteries are empty. ■ Insert new batteries.
3. Device does sometimes
not respond to the RCU.
■ Direct sun light from
behind the device.
■ Close the sun blinds or
get closer to the device.
■ You do not aim
sufficiently at the device.
■ Aim at the device’s
display.
■ install a RCU extender.
■ Batteries are almost
empty.
■ Insert new batteries.
4. Your device code is not
listed.
■ The device code was not
know at the time this
manual was created.
■ Try the search method.
5. The RCU does not
execute the commands
properly.
■ Some codes are quite
similar, maybe you have
chosen the wrong code.
■ Try another code listed
for your brand.
■ Try the search method.
6. Volume control does not
respond as expected.
■ Volume is locked to
another device.
■ Undo the volume lock
(punch through) function.
7. Video does not record.
■ You pressed the record
key once.
■ Press the record key
twice to start. The RCU
has a safety feature to
avoid a start of an
unwanted recording.
8. The RCU gives still
problems.
■ Your customized settings
are corrupted.
■ Do an operational reset.
■ Do a factory reset.
