1.4. REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (RCU) RELATED
1.5. INSTALLATION RELATED
Problem Possible cause What to do?
1. Receiver does not
respond to the RCU.
Batteries are empty. Insert new batteries.
The RCU is set to another
mode (TV, VCR).
On the RCU, press the
SAT key.
The receiver code is not
programmed correctly.
Program the SAT mode
with code 0222, see the
appendix for instructions.
2. Receiver does
sometimes not respond to
the RCU.
Direct sun light from
behind the receiver.
Close the sun blinds or
get closer to the receiver.
You do not aim
sufficiently at the receiver.
Aim at the receiver
display.
install a RCU extender.
Batteries are almost
empty.
Insert new batteries.

1. My television does not
receive any signal from
the receiver (UHF only)
You did not select the
correct audio/video
channel on your TV.
Refer to the user manual
of the TV for instructions.
On the receiver, In the TV
system menu select the
correct channel and PAL
setting.
Use another method to
connect the receiver.
2. My television does not
receive any signal from
the receiver
You did not select the
correct A/V channel on
your TV.
Select the correct A/V
channel on your TV.
Youdidnotuseacorrect
SCART cable.
Use only a full featured
SCART cable that is
correctly shielded.
3. My television shows black
areas on the left and right
of the screen.
You did not select the
correct aspect ratio for
your TV.
On the receiver, in the
user profile menu select
the correct aspect ratio.
4. In a motorized
installation, the dish turns
to the West while I select
Set East Limit.
The motor turns the other
way around because the
cable is not installed
correctly.
At the receiver, change
the cable connections to
M1 and M2.
5. In a motorized
installation, I cannot
select a specific satellite.
The required satellite is
located outside the
selected East or West
limit.
If physically possible,
mind dish damage, revise
the limit setting.
Select another satellite.
