      Jessica LeeAug 11, 2025
First, clear the CMOS values using the CLR_CMOS jumper. Then, load optimized defaults in the BIOS setup. Check the CPU cooler fan for dust accumulation, and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the 12V power & ATX connectors are fully inserted into the motherboard connectors and latched. Remove the hard drive, optical drive, or DDR memory to identify faulty components. Finally, check for any bulged electrolytic capacitors or abnormal components.

Why won't my ECS H110I-C4P Motherboard power up and the fans are not running?
    • W
      walshianAug 26, 2025
Try these steps: Disassemble the PC, removing the VGA adaptor card, DDR memory, LAN, USB and other peripherals including keyboard and mouse. Leave only the motherboard, CPU with CPU cooler and power supply connected. Ensure the power cord is plugged into the wall socket and the switch on the Power Supply Unit (PSU) is turned “on”. Turn on again to see if the CPU and power supply fans are running. Also, make sure to remove any unused screws or metal objects from inside the PC case to prevent short circuits. Check that the CPU FAN connector and the 12V power connector are connected to the motherboard, and that the 12V power & ATX connectors are fully inserted and latched into place. For Intel platforms, inspect the CPU socket for any bent or damaged pins.

What to do if ECS Motherboard PC suddenly shuts down while booting up?
    • R
      Richard DiazSep 3, 2025
This can happen if the CPU is overheating. Apply thermal grease to the CPU heatsink and make sure the CPU fan is well-connected to the heatsink. Check that the CPU fan is working correctly while the system is running. You can also try disabling the Smartfan function in the BIOS settings to make the fan run at its default speed. Loading Optimized Defaults in the BIOS will also disable Smartfan.
