2-4-5. Connecting Optional Devices
Refer to the following for information on connecting the motherboard’s optional
devices:
SATA3_1~2 connectors are used to support the Serial ATA 6Gb/s device, and SATA_3~4
connectors are used to support the Serial ATA 3Gb/s device, simpler disk drive ca-
bling and easier PC assembly. It eliminates limitations of the current Parallel ATA
interface. But maintains register compatibility and software compatibility with
Parallel ATA.
