11.8 VRF configuration
VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) is a technology designed for isolation of routing information that belongs
to different classes (e.g., routes of a specific client).
11.8.1 Configuration algorithm
Step Description Command Keys
1 Create VRF instance and switch to the
VRF instance parameters configuration
mode.
esr(config)# ip vrf <VRF> <VRF> – VRF instance name,
set by the string of up to 31
characters.
2 Assign the description of the
configured VRF instance.
esr(config-vrf)# description
<DESCRIPTION>
<DESCRIPTION> – VRF
instance description, set by the
string of up to 255 characters.
