RIDE.
«On a bike, you breathe, admire, hear
nature itself. It is that movement endows
us with a hitherto unknown sensitivity.»
Maurice Leblanc
1. Before the first use
It is therefore important that you feel
comfortable when using it.
The YUVY is designed for people between 1.60
and 1.85 metres tall.
It is designed for urban use, on tarmac, paved
roads or cycle paths. This bike can occasionally
be used on gravel or unpaved roads in good
condition. It has not been designed for jumps
and off-road, rough and/or competitive use.
This bike complies with the EN 15194 standard
“Electrically assisted bicycles”.
Please read and follow the instructions below.
They will help you to ride safely and get the
most out of your YUVY:
• Before riding, always check your bike
thoroughly (handlebars, stem, saddle,
wheels, brakes).
• In all circumstances, respect the trafc
regulations of the country in which you
are travelling so as not to put yourself in
danger. Note that some countries impose
specic equipment or safety rules. Make
sure you follow the local laws.
• An electric bicycle allows you to ride
regularly at 25 km/h, even uphill. Beware,
experience has shown that other users,
motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are
often unaccustomed to these speeds
for a bike. You must therefore anticipate
their reactions as much as possible and
slow down if necessary.
• Take time to get used to your new bike.
The powerful disc brakes are sensitive
and do not require a lot of lever pulling to
slow down, so get used to their behaviour.
• An electrically assisted bike behaves
slightly differently from a normal bike.
Progressive practice and proper training
will help you develop your skills.
• Also be aware that after a short break-
in period, cable tensions, brakes and
steering may need to be adjusted. Go
to the “3. PAMPER” section to do this.
If anything seems abnormal during this
period, or if you have any questions
about the use of your bike, please do not
hesitate to contact us.
