EMC Rails and Enclosures (CX3-10 Class and CX3-20 Class Storage Systems) Field Installation Guide
Power requirements
Review your plan to make sure all devices will fit in the cabinet. It is
also important to verify cabling lengths before installing any
enclosure.
Power requirements
Power distribution must support the number of outlets required for
the device and the device power rating.
Use the published technical specifications and device rating labels to
determine the current draw of each device in your cabinet and
calculate the total. Use the following values to calculate current draw
for CX3-series storage-system components.
Note: These are maximum ratings for a class family, to guide the
sizing of power distribution components at the rack level. Since
model
configurations and drive types vary, they
may not be appropriate to
estimate typical power consumption.
Note: For high availability, the left and right sides of any rack or cabinet must
receive power from separate branch feed circuits.
