4. Functional description
4.1. Overview
4.1.1. Input circuit
The input circuit offers the following characteristics :
• ac rectifying
• EMI filtering
• inrush current limiting, a walk-in circuit limits the output current
rise to 25 A per second
• low and high ac inhibit
• power factor compensation
• surge voltage protection
• ac breaker for input protection
For all input and output conditions specified in this manual, when the
rectifier is turned on, the ac current will not exceed the maximum steady-
state value.
4.1.2. Output circuit
The output circuit offers the following characteristics :
• shunt for output dc current sensing
• 225 A dc circuit breaker for output protection
