TheATEXexplosionproofcertiedELQelectricactu-
atorisaGroupIIcategory2equipmentandintended
foruseinareasinwhichexplosiveatmospheres
causedbymixturesofairandgases,vapoursor
mistsarelikelytooccur.
Thereforetheelectricactuatormaybeusedin
(ATEX)classiedZones1&2(Gases)
1 Thecableentrydeviceandtheclosingelements
ofunusedaperturesmustbeofacertiedame-
prooftype,suitablefortheconditionsofuseand
correctlyinstalled.
2 Heatresistantcableandcableglandsmustbe
used,suitablefortemperaturesofatleast95°C.
3 WhentheELQactuatorisconnectedtoasepa-
ratesourceofheatingorcooling,suchasa
heatedorcooledprocessvesselorpipeline,the
temperaturetransfershouldnotcausetheactua-
tortoexceedthespeciedambienttemperature
range(Tamb=-20°C...+60°C).
4 Wait1minuteafterdisconnectingthepower
supply,beforeremovingthecoverofthepower
supplycompartment.
5 Blindplugsorcableglandshallbeengagedinto
thecableentriesminimal5threads.
6 Donotaddadditionalgreasetothethreadofthe
terminalcompartmentcover.
7 Whenreplacingcoverscrews,usecoverscrews
accordingISO3506withpropertyclassA2-70.
8 Wiringdimensionsforexternalearthconnectionis
4mm²(12AWG).
