3.4 Sensor piping location and orientation
The sensor should be installed in a location that ensures it remains full
during operation. Depending on where it is installed, orientation must also
be considered.
• Vertical installation with upward process fluid flow keeps the cross-
sectional area full, regardless of flow rate.
• Horizontal installation should be restricted to low piping sections that
are normally full.
