The ERTune™ Program: Basic Features
The Profile Tab: Creating Multi-Step Command
Sequences
Proles are multi-step command sequences for the ER5000. They
require no previous programming experience on the part of the
user to create and guide the ER5000 through everything from a
simple start/stop operation to a sequence of setpoint changes
that can include up to one hundred command lines and control
loops that can run indenitely.
The Prole Builder Panel in the Prole Tab provides a simple,
intuitive interface for creating and editing Proles. Proles are
built one command line (called a segment) at a time. Commands
are chosen from a drop-down list; the three most commonly-used
commands (Ramp, Dwell and Step) can also be quickly selected
by clicking a button. Parameters for each command are set using
simple text entry elds and select lists.
Completed Proles are downloaded to the control board of the
ER5000. They can also be saved to external text les for future use.
Proles can be uploaded from the ER5000 or opened from the
PC in the ERTune™ program and used as the setpoint source for
tuning the controller.
