7.2.1 Installation error recognition
The ITZ offers the following possibilities for installation error recognition which are
displayed with the help of the LCD segments „L1”, „L2” and „L3”:
1. Phase display (U1, U2, U3)
The display of the symbols L1, L2 and L3 signalises that voltage is applied at all
individual. Failure of a phase is displayed by the deletion of a symbol.
2. Phase sequence identifier
This function is only active when all three voltages are applied. With an incorrect
phase sequence all three symbols flash.
3. Display of the energy direction
The registered energy direction is displayed with the symbols +P, -P, +Q and -Q.
+P / +Q Meter registers positive active / reactive energy
-P / -Q Meter registers negative active / reactive energy
4. Display of meter start-up or the active energy register
When the P
Sum
or Q
Sum
exceeds the start-up threshold and energy is registered in
the relevant energy register, the appropriate energy direction arrow appears
(+P, -P, +Q or -Q depending on the meter design).
5. Display with a negative energy direction (P
Sum
< 0)
a) Unidirectional meter
With a negative energy direction no energy is registered. The LED is continually
lit-up (no load operation) -P also flashes and +P is not displayed.
b) Bidirectional meter
With a negative energy direction -P appears.
c) lAl - Absolute meter
With a negative energy direction +P and -P appear since the energy direction
is negative and the energy register for +A is active.
6a. Display of deviating energy directions of the phases (Firmware 4.XX and 5.XX)
a) Unidirectional meter
If the direction of the energy flow of at least one phase is negative, the
reverse energy flow arrow flashes in addition to the flow arrow for the phase
sum. In addition, the symbol of the relevant phase flashes.
Examples:
A
Sum
> 0, A
2
< 0
+A is registered
+P static, L2 and -P flash
A
Sum
< 0, A
3
> 0
no start up
A
Sum
< 0, A
1
and
A
3
< 0
no start up
L1, L2, L3 and -P flash
(double function with rotatary field
recognition)
b) Bidirectional meter
If the direction of the energy of at least one phase deviates from the energy
direction of the phase sum, the relevant energy flow arrow flashes in addition to
the flow arrow for the phase sum. In addition, the symbol of the relevant phase
flashes.
