3. If the media player will be used mainly during night-time, the ‘Night Mode’ can be
set to ‘ON’ or ‘Comfort’. This way, low-level audio content such as dialog will be
increased making it easier to hear at low volume levels. At the same time, the
intensity of higher-level audio content will be reduced.
4. Set ‘HDMI Output’ to ‘LPCM’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
5. Select ‘Surround Sound’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Select ‘AC3’ or ‘Don’t care’
and press the ‘OK’ button..
6. Set ‘Advance Setup’ to ‘Off’.
7.3.2 If connected to a HDMI DTS receiver:
Refer to the manual of your HDMI receiver to make sure which codecs are supported.
The steps shown are default settings and are normally useable for a HDMI receiver.
1. Use the navigation buttons to go to ‘Setup’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
2. Select ‘Audio’.
3. If the media player will be used mainly during night-time, the ‘Night Mode’ can be
set to ‘ON’ or ‘Comfort’. This way, low-level audio content such as dialog will be
increased making it easier to hear at low volume levels. At the same time, the
intensity of higher-level audio content will be reduced.
4. Set ‘HDMI Output’ to ‘RAW’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
5. Select ‘Surround Sound’ and press the ‘OK’ button. If your HDMI receiver
supports ‘Dolby True HD’, select ‘TrueHD’. If your HDMI receiver does not
support ‘Dolby True HD’, select ‘AC3’ or ‘Don’t Care’.
6. ‘Advance Setup’ is set to ‘On’ by default. If this setting is not set to ‘On’, press the
‘OK’ button and select ‘ON’.
7. Select ‘AAC Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘AAC Output’ to ‘LPCM’.
8. Select ‘AC3 Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘AC3 Output’ to ‘RAW’.
9. Select ‘DTS Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘DTS Output’ to ‘RAW’.
10. Select ‘MPG Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘MPG Output’ to ‘LPCM’.
7.3.3 If connected to a DTS receiver using the coaxial or optical connection:
1. Use the navigation buttons to go to ‘Setup’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
2. Select ‘Audio’.

4. Select ‘SPDIF Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘SPDIF Output’ to ‘RAW’.
5. Select ‘Surround Sound’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Select ‘AC3’ or ‘Don’t Care’
and press the ‘OK’ button.
6. ‘Advance Setup’ is set to ‘On’ by default. If this setting is not set to to ‘On’, press
the ‘OK’ button and select ‘ON’.
7. Select ‘AAC Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘AAC Output’ to ‘LPCM’.
8. Select ‘AC3 Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘AC3 Output’ to ‘RAW’.
9. Select ‘DTS Output’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘DTS Output’ to ‘RAW’.
