6.2. RECOMMENDED SERVICE INTERVALS
It is important to inspect and service the electric scooter to maintain optimal performance. The
recommended service is only a guideline, every scooter is used differently, and its wear and tear
INTERVAL INSPECT/SERVICE
Every Week
• Check bolts and fasteners for proper torque value
• Check frame for any scratch or damage
• Clean frame by wiping with a damp cloth
• Tension brakes if needed
Every Month • Check brake pad alignment
• Check brake cables for rust
• Check bearing adjustment
• Check Wheel for wear
• Lubricate forks
Every 6 Month
• Lubricate handlebar stem
• Grease bearings
• Replace brake pads
• Replace tires if necessary
• Replace cables if necessary
• If you see a crack in any part of the bike, replace that part immediately as a crack and grow
without any warning and may break the part during operation
• If you see any rust on the scooter, make sure to clean the scooter and lubricate it properly. If the
rust is excessive, replace the part
• Make sure to avoid scratching or gouging any surface as these are stress concentration points
that could lead to crack formation
• If there is any noise coming from the scooter, investigate its cause and make sure to rectify the
problem as soon as possible
