Adjust request (Select Telegram)
An adjust request allows a nominal value or a control command from the PC to be transmitted to the
centrifuge.
EOT Control character (04H)
TYP Type address of the device (21H = centrifuges)
ADR Device address (20H...29H, default 20H)
The device address is set via a service program of the centrifuge.
STX Control character (02H)
Code Code number of the control parameter
= Equal sign (03DH)
VAL Parameter value (max. five ASCII characters)
ETX Control character (03 H)
BCC Block Check Count link-up (in bytes with Exclusive - OR
(from 5 bytes – CNR (after STX) to inclusive ETX)
Answer from centrifuge:
ACK Adjust command executed (06H)
NAK Error in protocol acknowledged, command not executed (15H)
If severe errors occur, no answer is transmitted.
Permitted format of VAL
– Max. 20 characters are accepted (e.g. 3000.000). The figures after the decimal point are not
processed. The centrifuge requires a maximum of 5 figures. (VAL – type integer)
–Figures 0...9
– A negative sign must follow the equal sign
– A decimal point is accepted, but is not processed
– The value is set to the left, i.e. the highest position follows the equal sign
