Alignment/Adjustment 5-1
Centrifuge 5804/5804 R and 5810/5810 R
5 Alignment / Adjustment
Adjusting magnet to Imbalance PCB
Magnet must align horizontally and vertically to Hall sensor of Imbalance PCB!
Horizontal distance magnet to sensor approx. 9 to 13 mm.
Assembling sequence for adjusting the sensor-idle value of Imbalance PCB
Disassemble centrifuge (operating panel, lid, housing, motor cap etc.)
Place centrifuge upright.
Remove motor holding plate (13 mm ring wrench).
Do not loosen the motor fastening screws!
Disconnect plug X=10 from Control PCB and replace by extender cable.
Connect mains switch and operating panel.
Connect cable of Imbalance PCB to extender cable (pay attention to colors).
Switch on centrifuge (perhaps Error 20, because temperature sensor is not connected).
Select customer service display. (Press keys up V and down W simultaneously).
Function 5, Imbalance value
Recommended service setting =670±30
Please note, important
Max. tolerance during standstill = 670±100
Please note, important
Fasten Imbalance PCB. Adjust angle with magnet at motor if required. Distance to sensor
approx. 9 to 13 mm, depending upon the version of the magnet carrier Imbalance detection.
Switch off centrifuge. Reassemble everything. It is essential to carry out an imbalance
adjustment!
To avoid damaging the compressor, do not operate the centrifuge with cooling in normal
position within 4 hours. Disconnect the compressor plug on Control PCB for the test time if
required!
Adjusting microswitches for lid latch
Both microswitches are actuated by the locking plates of the reinforcement for the lid mat and issue the
start signal for the lid latch motor. Set the switches so that they switch simultaneously when the lid is
closed. The switches should not respond too early, when the lid is just lying loosely on top, otherwise the
latch might not reach its end position and be switched immediately to Lid Open.
Set/check using Service program SE 4.
