WARNING:
High voltages are present inside the printer when the power is
on. Do not attempt to remove the controller board unless the
printer is turned off and the power cord is unplugged. Also,
try not to touch the contacts on the board because many
of the
components can be destroyed by the static electricity in your
body.
Removing the controller board

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable from the
electrical outlet.
Remove the optional card, cartridge, or lower paper cassette
unit, if installed.
Disconnect all interface cables from the interface connectors.
Turn the printer so that its left side faces you. Use a
cross-head screwdriver to remove the two screws securing
the interface board cover. Then pull off the cover. Keep the
screws handy so that you can use them later.
