C
Load the T-shirt so that the shoulders are at the
front.
D
Smooth out the print surface so that it is flat.
E
Remove any lint from the printing surface, and
press the fibers flat.
There may be lint on the T-shirt if you have not
applied pre-treatment liquid. Remove the lint
using the sticky tape or roller and press the fibers
flat using the hard roller. Lint and fibers may stick
to the print head and stain other areas.
F
Remove any slack or creases from the printing
surface and make it flat.
When using a grip pad covered platen, we
recommend that you use the grip pad tool
supplied to flatten the printing surface. This
makes it easier to perform operations and
produces a flattened finish.
However, do not use the grip pad tool if it catches
on the surface of the fabric. Print quality may
decline, or the media may be damaged.
Media with pre-treatment liquid may stick to the
bottom of the grip pad tool in the following
situations.
❏ When the pre-treatment liquid has not dried
sufficiently
❏ When the pre-treatment liquid has dried but
the media was left for a long time in a location
with high humidity
❏ When too much pre-treatment liquid has been
applied
Also, depending on the type of fabric, the grip
pad tool may stick even without pre-treatment
liquid.
