If the additional print drying system is installed,
make sure you unplug the power cable for the
additional print drying system as well.

Leave the printer for a minute, and then open the
left maintenance cover and the front cover.

While holding the tabs of the media edge plate on
both sides, move the plate to the left edge of the
platen to remove it.
When replacing the right media edge plate,
remove the left side first, and then remove the
right.

Important:
Be sure to remove the media edge plate from
the left edge of the platen. If the plate is
removed from the right edge, it will drop into
the printer and cause malfunction.

Insert a new media edge plate into the left edge of
the platen.

Important:
You cannot attach the media edge plates from
the right.
When inserting the plate, check the following
two points.
(1) Align the white line on the platen with that of
the media edge plate.
