6. Attach the transceiver to your Macintosh.
7. Make sure the printer’s network interface mode is on. See
the next section for instructions.

Turning On the Printer’s Network Interface Mode
If you encounter problems when using the printer on a
network, you may need to turn on the printer’s network
interface mode using the buttons on the control panel. Follow
these steps:
1. Make sure the printer is off and paper is loaded in the paper
tray.
2. While holding down the
Economy/Condensed
button,
turn on the printer. After the printer warms up, it prints a
page listing the available control panel languages.
3. Unless you want to change the language of the control
panel, press the
Pause
button. (Press the
Alt
button to
change the control panel language.)
The printer prints two instruction sheets that describe how
to change default printer settings.
4. Press the
Alt
button until the
Ink Out
O light is flashing, the
Ink Out
NNN light is off, and the
Paper Out
light is on.
5. Press the
Pause
button until the
Pause
light is on and the
Economy
and
Condensed
lights are off.
6. Turn off the printer.
