Cleaning the Paper Path for Ink Smears
When the printouts are smeared or scued, clean the roller inside.

1. Load A4-size or A3-size plain paper in the rear paper feed.
2.
Select Maintenance on the home screen.
To select an item, move the focus to the item using the
u d l r buttons, and then press the OK button.
3.
Select Paper Guide Cleaning.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the paper path.
Repeat this procedure until the paper is not smeared with ink.

Depending on where the printer was purchased, a cleaning sheet may be supplied with the printer. If the cleaning
sheet is supplied with your printer, use it to clean the roller inside.
1. Select Maintenance on the home screen.
To select an item, move the focus to the item using the
u d l r buttons, and then press the OK button.
2. Select Paper Guide Cleaning.
3. Remove the paper loaded in the rear paper feed.
4. Remove the protective sheet (brown) from the cleaning sheet.
