Using the WAP™ Browser 101
Renaming a WAP profile
Instead of the default names Profile 1, Profile 2 etc., you can rename the
profiles so that you can separate them easily. For instance you can use the
name of your network operator for WAP profile, the name of your bank for
another WAP profile and the name of your company for a third WAP profile.
To rename a WAP profile
1. Scroll to
WAP Services

WAP Settings

2. Scroll to the WAP profile you wish to rename and press
YES.
3. Select
Rename
, enter a new name and press YES.
Editing the Homepage of a WAP profile
Your homepage in the browser is connected to the WAP profile you are using.
In order for you to know which WAP profile is active, we advice you to enter
guiding names for your homepages.
To edit the homepage of a WAP profile
1. Scroll to
WAP Services

WAP Settings
, YES.
2. Scroll to the WAP profile whose homepage you want to edit and press
YES.
3. Select
Edit Homepage
, enter the WAP address you want to use as the
homepage connected to this WAP profile and press
YES.
Showing Images
You can choose whether you want to see images or not when you are
browsing. The images take extra time to download, but the WAP pages look
better with them. When you buy the phone, the Show Images setting is set to
On
.
To turn the image load on or off
1. Scroll to
WAP Services

WAP Settings
, YES.
2. Scroll to the WAP profile whose image settings you want to edit and press
YES.
3. Scroll to
Show Images
, select
On
or
Off
and press YES.
Note! If you have turned the Show Images function
Off
, the images are
displayed as icons in the display. If an image contains a link, you can access
this link by highlighting the image and pressing
YES.
Download Timeout
When you try to access some WAP pages, you may have to wait for a long
time while your phone tries to download the page. You can set the time that
shall pass before the download attempt is stopped.
