Why is gas shielding poor on my ESAB Welding System?

Poor gas shielding in your ESAB Welding System can stem from several causes. First, the shielding gas may contain impurities like moisture or air; if this is the case, flush the system clean with gas. Impurities on the base material, such as rust or lubricant, can also cause this issue, so ensure the base material is clean. Check that you have sufficient shielding gas by verifying the contents of the gas bottle and hoses, as well as the pressure setting. Draughts at the welding site can disrupt the shielding, so use protective screens to shield the welding area. Lastly, welding spray on the gas lens or hood can be a culprit; clean or replace these parts as needed.
