VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT
To
measure the ac voltage
applied
to
the
unknown
inductor:
Connect
the ground terminal
of
a high
impedance
ac
voltmeter
to
the EXT D-Q
terminal
marked
G.
Connect
the
input
terminal of the voltmeter
to
the
HI inductor
terminal.
Balance the bridge.
Read
the voltmeter. With the bridge balanced,
this
voltage
is
equal to
the ac voltage
across
the
unknown
inductor,
but the
inductor has not been loaded by the voltmeter. The
bridge
read-
ings,
however, may be incorrect while the meter
is connected.
