Basic guide Introduction Bench-top type temperature (and humidity) chamber
ESPEC CORP. | 5
List of remaining risks (instructions for avoiding danger)
To ensure the safe and correct use of the chamber, this section gives a list of the items
that pose the threat of danger and instructions for avoiding said danger. For details,
see the pages indicated for the items. Also, the locations corresponding to each item
are written on the following pages, so be sure to read all of these pages together.
Risks and countermeasures during transportation and installation For details, see
WARNING
Use appropriate methods to remove the chamber from the truck and to carry the chamber to its installation location.
Failing to do so can result in injury.
Section 3 in the
Installation guide
WARNING
Do not install the chamber in an inappropriate location such as outdoors or a highly humid location.
Doing so can result in fire and electric shock.
Section 1.6
WARNING
If you are using the leakage breaker as the primary switch, use a leakage breaker that supports harmonics.
Using a leakage breaker that does not support harmonics can cause malfunctions.
Section 7 in the
Installation guide
WARNING
Be sure to provide suitable grounding for the chamber.
Failing to do so can result in electric shock.
Section 1.6
(Section 7 in the
Installation guide)
Risks and countermeasures during usage For details, see
DANGER
Do not place explosive or combustible materials in the chamber.
Doing so can result in explosion and fire.
Section 1.1
WARNING
Do not insert into the chamber a specimen whose conductivity will cause it to be dispersed.
Failing to do so can result in electric shock.
Section 1.1
CAUTION
Do not give a shock or strong pressure to the optional viewing window and inner glass door.
If the glass of viewing window or the inner glass door is damaged, the glass fragments can cause injury.
Section 1.2
WARNING
Before starting chamber operation, correctly set the safety device for overheat protection and check that this device is
operating normally.
Failing to do so can result in fire.
Sections 1.3 and
5.3
WARNING
Do not perform operations from a remote point when working with the chamber. When operating the chamber
remotely, confirm the safety in and around the test area, and then operate the chamber correctly.
Failing to do so can result in accidents caused by unexpected operations.
Section 1.5
WARNING
Do not disassemble, modify, or repair this chamber.
Doing so can result in fire, electric shock, and injury.
Section 1.6
WARNING
If the refrigeration circuitry becomes damaged, avoid exposure to flame, stop using the chamber, and provide
sufficient ventilation.
Failing to do so can result in choking and suffocation. Using flames will generate noxious gas.
Section 1.6
CAUTION
Note that during operation and immediately after operation parts of the area inside of the test area and parts of the
exterior of the chamber become extremely hot or cold.
Touching these areas can result in burns and frostbite.
Section 1.6
CAUTION
Exercise caution when opening the door during high-temperature (high-humidity) operation or immediately after
finishing the operation.
Doing so can cause steam to blow out and result in burns.
Section 1.6
DANGER
When applying voltage to a specimen, be sure to use the specimen power supply control terminal. (This includes
when time signal is used.)
Failing to do so can result in fire.
Section 4.2
WARNING
Perform an operation test on the leakage breaker and check that it is operating normally before starting chamber
operation.
Failing to do so can result in electric shock.
Sections 1.6 and
5.3
WARNING
Do not use the chamber where water falls on the chamber or do not splash water on the chamber. If water goes
inside the chamber, it can cause fire or electrical shock.
Section 3.1
WARNING
Do not put the heavy loads which exceed chamber’s load capacity. The chamber may be warped by heavy loads and
can cause wiring damage. Wiring damage can cause fire or electrical shock.
Section 3.1
WARNING
Set the shelves correctly, and use these shelves within their allowable load capacities.
Failing to do so can result in injury caused by the shelves falling down.
Section 4.1
WARNING
Turn off the power before removing the electrical wire from the specimen power supply terminal.
Failing to do so can result in electric shock.
Section 4.2
