- Use an eco-friendly washing-up liquid, car shampoo or
degreaser.
- For stubborn dirt, a solvent-free detergent with a pH of
5-9 can be used.
-Max. washing temperature of 80° C.
-Rinse and dry.
-The walker can be machine washed.
-Do not rinse with water directly on bearings and
handles using a pressure washer.

1. Check brake functionality:
-Service brake and parking brake
-The wheels must be locked in both positions.
-The parking brake must be kept in the locked position.
-Lubricate the mechanism using a lubricant designed for
plastic.
2. Folding mechanism:
-It must be easy to fold the walker.
-Check that it locks in the unfolded position.
3. Seat:
-Check that the seat is fixed in place and is not dam
aged.
4. Handle:
-Check that the handle is not damaged and is fitted
securely.
5. Frame:
-Check that the walker feels stable.
-Check that there is no weakening damage.
6. Wheels/Wheel axles:
- Check that the tyres, bearings and wheel axles are not
worn, and that the wheels turn easily.
- Check the wheel attachment. The distance between the
ends of the retaining ring must not exceed 1 mm (see
diagram H7) after installation on the wheel axle. Careless
installation may lead to the retaining ring being pulled
out of shape and not springing back to its original shape.
Check that the retaining ring is properly fitted in the
groove. Always use a new retaining ring!
-Check that the front forks rotate easily.
- When changing wheels, check that the groove for the
retaining ring has a sharp edge (see diagram H8), and
that there is no excessive wear where the wheel bearings
turn on the shaft. Minimum shaft
diameter is 9.4 mm.
Etac Ono can be reconditioned. This reconditioning instruction is meant for the technician in charge of the reconditioning.
Care and maintenance
• If there is a fault in your walker you should contact your
dealer.
• A defective walker must not be used.
• Replacements and repairs should be made solely with
original ETAC parts. Etac will not be held responsible for
damage or injury caused by use of non-original parts.
• Check that screws and controls are properly tightened.
• Adjust the brakes if the braking effect is poor.
For maximum service life you should:
• Regularly clean the walker with car shampoo or
washing-up liquid.
• Detergent without solvents and with a pH value
of 5-9 can be used for encrusted dirt.
• Max. washing temperature 80
o
C.
• Rinse and dry.
• The walker can be machine washed.
• Store the walker indoors.
