Overview
The Congo™ Power Supply Cable Upgrade Kit provides a new set of power looms for reliable
improvement to Congo’s operation.
Upgrade Kit Contents
Tool Requirement
The following tools may be required, but not supplied, for this Power Supply Cable Upgrade Kit.
• pozi or philips screwdriver #1
• wire cutters
• nut spinner (metric 7mm) or adjustable wrench
Upgrade Procedure
Step 1: Open the Console for service.
a: Quarter turn the two quick release latches on the bottom of the console.
b: Lift the console facepanel.

Upgrade Procedure

Open the Console for Service

Open the console by releasing quick latches and lifting the facepanel.

Open the EMC Cage Lid

Remove screws to open the EMC cage lid without removing the cage.

Unplug and Remove Cable Looms

Remove cable ties securing existing power supply and Reset/LED looms, then unplug them.

Install Supply Cable Loom #1

Connect new supply cable loom #1 between power supply and main board connectors.

Install Supply Cable Loom #2

Connect supply cable loom #2 to power supply, hard-disk, main board, VGA, and floppy drive.

Install Reset / LED Cable Loom

Disconnect old Reset/LED loom and connect the new one to the transition board.

Secure the Power Cable Loom

Use adhesive pad to tie down the power cable loom, preventing contact with components.

Secure Drive Cable Connectors

Apply silicone to hard drive and floppy drive cable connectors to secure them in sockets.

Close the EMC Cage Lid

Reinstall the 11 screws to close and secure the EMC cage lid.

Replace Facepanel Mounting Screws

Replace existing screws with M3 x 6mm standoffs under the facepanel.

Unmount and Reroute Power Supply

Disconnect user interface power connector and plug into the direct power supply cable loom.

Close Console Facepanel

Close the console facepanel and secure latches. Note on reset button behavior.

Apply Reset Label

Apply the provided Reset label to the rear panel of the Congo console.

Re-Configure UPS Power Fail Options

Reconfigure UPS Power fail Options Configuration per the Service Note.
