12• POSSIBLE BREAKDOWNS AND THEIR REMEDIES
Consult the table below if you have problems with your ride-on mower. If the problem encountered is not included in this table or if the
remedy suggested does not solve the problem, contact your dealer, who has the necessary knowledge and equipment to deal with the problem.
ABNORMAL OPERATION PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
None of the indicator lights

15 A fuse blown Replace the 15 A fuse (chapter 8•3)
Battery connection defective
Connect the battery properly (chapter 9•3)
All the indicator lights comes on but the starter
is not working
All the conditions for safe starting are not met See chapter 6•2
All the indicator lights come on, the starter is
working, but the engine does not start
Not enough diesel Fill up with diesel
Battery insufficiently charged Recharge the battery (chapter 9•3)
Check the charging current
The engine is running, but stalls when the
operator presses on the drive pedal
All the conditions for safe moving are not met See chapter 6•2
The engine is running, but stalls when the
operator starts the cutting system (H124DN,
H124DX)
The retractable parts of the cutting system
are absent or incorrectly mounted (H124DN,
H124DX)
Put them back in place correctly
The cutting system does not engage (with
engine running)
All the conditions for safe mowing are not met See chapter 6•2
The battery charge light stays on after the
engine has started
Battery charging circuit defective Contact your dealer
The audible warning device is activated and the
engine temperature indicator is on
The radiator grilles are obstructed Clean the radiator grilles (chapter 9•1•6)
Lack of coolant Fill up and check if there are any leaks
The hydraulic oil temperature / hydraulic filter
clogging indicator is on, at full engine rate but
stops when idling
Hydraulic oil cold
Leave the engine to idle for a few minutes
and then check again
Hydraulic oil filter clogged (oil hot) Replace the hydraulic oil filter
(chapter 8•7)
The hydraulic oil temperature / hydraulic filter
clogging indicator is on at all engine rates
Temperature of hydraulic oil too high Stop the engine and contact your dealer
The engine oil pressure indicator is on (after
starting the engine)
Oil level too low Fill up with oil
The audible warning device is activated, the
cutting switch system activated and the basket
empty (H124DN, H124DX)
Full indicator blocked (grass deposits) Remove the grass from around the
contactor (c picture 27)
