ELECTRICAL SAFETY & CORD HANDLING
Correct voltage: Make sure your local outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
values indicated on the appliance's rating label.
Safe connection: Insert the plug firmly into a properly grounded AC power supply or a 12 V
DC socket. Do not alter the plug.
Moisture protection: To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cable, plug, or
appliance itself in water or other liquids. Ensure your hands are dry before touching the
plug or switching on the appliance. Do not use the appliance on wet surfaces.
Power cable protection: Do not kink or damage the power cable. Do not wrap it around the
appliance. Do not move or carry the unit by pulling or grasping the cable. Do not close a
door on the cable or run the cable around sharp edges or corners. Keep the cable away from
heated surfaces.
Boat installation: If the device is connected to an AC power supply, it is important that the
system is protected by a fuse and a ground fault or leakage current protective device.
Never obstruct vents to the compressor.
Defrost the unit on a regular basis.
Never use hard or sharp tools to remove ice from the cooling compartment.
Never use abrasive or solvent-based substances to clean the cooling compartment.
Do not use any electrical appliances inside the cooling compartment.
Never touch uninsulated cables—especially AC cables—with bare hands.
Correct voltage: Make sure your local outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
values indicated on the appliance's rating label.
