How to fix Even Embers GAS1566AS burner that will not light?
    • K
      Karl CowanAug 15, 2025
If the burner on your Even Embers Grill won't light, start by checking that the LP gas tank valve is open and securely attached. If the tank is low or empty, replace or refill it. Also, inspect for any gas leaks, following the “Leak Testing” instructions. Obstructions in gas flow can also prevent lighting, so clean the burner assembly and check for bent or kinked hoses. Ensure the burner is properly seated and that the venturi is clear of spider webs or insect nests. Clogged burner ports should be cleaned, and a dead battery should be replaced. Finally, cooking residue on wires or electrodes should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol, and any wet components should be wiped dry.

Why is my Even Embers GAS1566AS not getting hot enough?
    • M
      Melissa RogersAug 18, 2025
If your Even Embers Grill isn't getting hot enough, the first thing to check is whether you are out of gas. If so, replace or refill the LP gas tank. If that's not the issue, a flow limiting device may have been activated. Try a mini reset by turning the control knobs and LP gas tank valve to “OFF”, waiting one minute, and then relighting the grill per the “Lighting Instructions”. If the flames are still too low, perform a full reset: Turn everything off, disconnect the regulator from the propane tank, inspect the LP cylinder rubber seal, wait one minute, reconnect the regulator, perform “Leak Testing” on all connections, and then light the grill per the “Lighting Instructions”.

    • S
      Sarah RichardsAug 21, 2025
Flare-ups on your Even Embers Grill can occur due to grease buildup. Clean all grill parts according to the “Proper Care and Maintenance” instructions. Excess fat in meat is another common cause, so trim fat from meat before grilling. Finally, excessive cooking temperature can also lead to flare-ups; adjust the cooking temperature to a lower setting.

What to do if my Even Embers GAS1566AS has a grease fire?
    • E
      Edward DavisAug 25, 2025
A grease fire on your Even Embers Grill is often caused by grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. If this happens: 1. Turn control knobs and the LP gas tank valve to the “OFF” position. 2. Leave the lid either open or closed and allow the fire to burn out. If necessary, use a BC type fire extinguisher, baking soda, sand, or dirt to smother the fire. 3. After the grill cools down, remove and clean all parts following the “Proper Care and Maintenance” instructions.

Why is the flame on my Even Embers GAS1566AS Grill yellow or orange?
    • C
      Cynthia NunezAug 28, 2025
If the flame on your Even Embers Grill is yellow or orange, it could be due to a few reasons. If it's a new burner, it may have residual manufacturing oils; burn the grill for 15 minutes on “HIGH” with the lid closed. Spider webs or insect nests in the venturi can also cause this issue, so clean the venturi and burner assembly. Food residue or grease buildup can also affect the flame, so clean the burner assembly. Lastly, poor alignment of the valve to the burner venturi can be the culprit; ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the valve.

Why does my Even Embers GAS1566AS Grill have an irregular flame pattern?
    • K
      Kyle WrightAug 31, 2025
An irregular flame pattern on your Even Embers Grill, where the flame does not run the full length of the burner, is often due to clogged or blocked burner ports. Clean the burner ports to resolve this. Another potential cause is that the air shutter on the burner needs adjustment. Refer to the “Burner Adjustment” section for instructions.

Why does the flame keep blowing out on my Even Embers GAS1566AS Grill?
    • S
      Stacey TorresSep 3, 2025
If the flame on your Even Embers Grill blows out, it could be due to high or gusting winds; avoid using the grill in such conditions. Another reason could be that you're low on LP gas; replace or refill the LP gas tank. Obstructions in the burner holes can also cause this; refer to the “Burner Assembly/Maintenance” instructions. Lastly, a tripped flow limiting device might be the issue; refer to the “Regulator Resetting Procedure”.

Why is the inside of the lid peeling on my Even Embers GAS1566AS Grill?
    • A
      Adam MartinSep 12, 2025
If the inside of the lid on your Even Embers Grill is peeling, resembling paint peeling, it's likely due to baked-on grease buildup that has turned into carbon and is flaking off. To fix this, clean the grill thoroughly following the “Proper Care and Maintenance” instructions.
