How to fix poor weld quality (dirty/oxidized) with Everlast Welding System?
    • F
      Francisco PayneAug 15, 2025
To improve weld quality with your Everlast Welding System, start by eliminating drafts and ensuring there is sufficient shielding gas in the tank. Check and adjust the gas flow for a higher rate. Listen for an audible click of the gas solenoid; if you don't hear it, contact Everlast Support. Properly clean the weld area, especially when working with aluminum. Also, ensure the post flow isn't too short and check the tungsten stick out.

Why is tungsten rapidly consumed in my Everlast Welding System?
    • E
      Evelyn HernandezAug 18, 2025
If the tungsten in your Everlast Welding System is being rapidly consumed, several factors could be at play. Ensure you are using only Argon (Ar) as the shielding gas and avoid green tungsten. Instead, opt for red thoriated or another suitable color. Also, check that the tungsten size is appropriate for your welding task and that you are not using the wrong polarity or too much AC cleaning.

What causes porosity and discoloration in Everlast Welding System welds?
    • C
      Christina OsborneAug 21, 2025
Porosity, discoloration of the weld, and tungsten discoloration in your Everlast Welding System can stem from several issues. These include a low or high flow rate of shielding gas, too short of a post flow period, using the wrong TIG cup size, possible internal or external gas leaks due to loose fittings, or contamination of the base metal with dirt or grease.

What to do if Over current/Duty cycle LED illuminates on Everlast superultra?
    • M
      Mario KellyAug 25, 2025
If the Over current/Duty cycle LED is illuminated on your Everlast Welding System, but there's no output, it indicates that the duty cycle has been exceeded or there's an overcurrent situation. Allow the machine to cool down completely, then reset the main power switch. Ensure the fan is not blocked and check the wiring.

Why is tungsten contaminated and arc green in Everlast superultra Welding System?
    • T
      Tanya TurnerAug 28, 2025
If the tungsten is contaminated and the arc changes to a green color with your Everlast Welding System, it could be due to the tungsten dipping into the weld or the tungsten melting. Check and adjust the stick out to a minimum of 1/8 inch. If the tungsten is melting, reduce the amperage or increase the tungsten size.

How to stabilize an unstable arc on an Everlast Welding System?
    • M
      Michael ThompsonAug 31, 2025
An unstable arc in your Everlast Welding System can be caused by a poorly ground or shaped tungsten. Regrind it to a proper point. Additionally, too much AC positive polarity can cause this issue; reduce the balance to 30% or less. You may also need to increase the AC Frequency.

What to do if Everlast Welding System runs but won't weld?
    • C
      Crystal AndersonSep 3, 2025
If your Everlast Welding System runs but won't weld in either mode, check for sound work clamp and cable connections. Ensure the work cable and TIG Torch are securely fastened to the Dinse style connector. If the overcurrent light is on, reset the main power switch.

Why won't the arc start without lift start on my Everlast superultra Welding System?
    • K
      karen20Sep 7, 2025
If the arc won't start unless lift started on your Everlast Welding System, check the HF point gap and set it to .035”. Also, ensure the unit is set to HF.
